She was born on December 6, 1927 to the late Burton and Nellie (McGaughey) Schrecongost, and was the loving wife of the late Robert William Roofner for 58 years.
Agnes was a member of the Worthington Baptist Church where she faithfully taught Sunday School and attended Faith Baptist Church in Waynesburg later in life. She lived her life for others and led many to the Lord whom she loved.
Surviving are: two sons, Paul (Grace) Roofner and Gary (Susan) Roofner; and one daughter, Karen (David) Ervine. Also surviving are grandchildren, Ted (Gloria) Roofner, Rachel Dehart, Kevin (Dawn) Roofner, Dawn (Lon) Williams, Jared (Natalie) Ervine, Jana (Jordan) Huff, and Josh (Jamie) Ervine and 25 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Vivian Roofner and a brother-in-law, Richard Keener as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert, a daughter, Bonnie Jean Roofner, a grandson, Ryan Roofner, a great-granddaughter, Catherine Roofner, and three brothers, Laird, Henry, and Walter Schrecongost.
Burial will be in the Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.
