James Kent Hammond, 71, passed away peacefully April 18, 2022. He was born June 8, 1950 in Logan, Utah to James Franklin and Shirley Rindlisbacher Hammond. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1970 and later attended Utah State University.

James was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as a young man served a mission to Hawaii. He married Connie Ray on November 8, 1984 in the Ogden Temple, and they were married for 37 years.

James loved anything with a motor! He loved model sports cars. He built models, collected sports trading cards, and collected Nascar die casts. James loved watching airplanes and going to airshows with his boys and family. James was a big fan of pasta, anything spaghetti and alfredo. James was also active in the community coaching the Davis Angels baseball team for the Special Olympics.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT 84404.
