World War II Veteran. Lloyd was a talented banjo player, playing with a group called "The Six Jacks Orchrestra". He was also their manager.

Before the war, Lloyd worked at the Cadillac Evening Newspaper as a compositor. After the war he & Mildred moved to Grand Rapids, MI. There he worked for the Grand Rapids Herald & the Grand Rapids Press. Was a linotype operator at both papers.
