Mrs. Fanny Ambrose, wife of D. Lieb Ambrose, Esq., associate editor of the Sangamo Monitor, died about 1 a.m., yesterday. The deceased lady was about twenty-four years of age and leaves beside a mourning husband three children who are as yet too young to know how great is their loss. She was a devoted wife, a kind mother, and an exemplary member of the Methodist church. Her illness was of some weeks duration and was especially distressing; so that the goodness of the Father she tried to obey and of the Savior in whom she trusted was recognized in her release from earthly toil, pain and suffering. But the sympathy of many friends goes out toward the bereaved husband and the helpless children.
The funeral will take place on Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, at the Second Methodist church.
