Hazel Pearlee Adams, 87, of Lindsay was born on January 7, 1935 in Dibble, Oklahoma to Jay and Iva Mae (Lewis) Gamble. She passed away peacefully on Monday morning, April 18, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Pearlee grew up in Dibble and graduated from Dibble High School in 1953. She married Uhl "Tut" Adams on June 20, 1953 and they made their home in Lindsay where she resided until her passing. She worked as a receptionist for Rural Electric Cooperative for 26 years before retiring in January 1996. Pearlee loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them. She had served as a council member for the City of Lindsay. She enjoyed gardening, going to the lake, watching Dr. Phil, and listening to gospel music. She enjoyed being a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Pearlee will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her son, Anthony Adams of Lindsay; granddaughters, Brianna Goodman and Cassandra Summerlin; great grandchildren: Shaylee, Ryan, Hunter; sister, Gladys "Tootsie" Wilkins of Riverside, California; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Pearlee was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Uhl "Tut" Adams; brother, Junior Gamble; sisters, Pauline Lindsey and Bessie Gamble.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Calvary Baptist Church, Lindsay, OK with Lester Grumbles officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
