William "Buddy" L. Axton, 80, of Lakeland, Tennessee passed away on April 21, 2022. He was born to Rufus and Ida Axton on January 29th, 1942 in Rayville, Louisiana. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William L. Axton, Jr., his daughter, Carolyn Axton; his brother, R L Axton, Sr., and a step-son, James Starnes.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Betty Axton; his children, Tabitha Hobgood (Johnny), Richard Axton, Shauna Baldwin (Curtis); his step-children, Janet Way (Bob), Julia Conner (Kendall), John Starnes, William Starnes (Dee) and Susan Starnes; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
