In October 1924, near the age of 80, Robert took a trip by boat (S.S. Finland) from New York to California. They stopped in Cuba, passed through the Panama Canal, stopped in Mexico and ended in San Francisco. Stayed here for a couple of weeks then they drove to Seattle, Washington. They then drove back to Los Angeles and started for home.
