Dr. Little's Father Dies At Hobart
Funeral services for E.B. Little, pioneer Kiowa county resident and father of
Dr. G.W. Little, were held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church
in Hobart with Rev. Thurmond George officiating. Burial was in the Hobart
cemetery. Little had been an interior decorator in Hobart for many years.
He was born May 15, 1866 at Richmond, Mo. and moved to Kiowa county in 1901,
settling on a farm in the old school district 58 community and building the
first house south of the Rock Island. He was united in marriage to Miss Ora
McCaughey in February, 1890 and she preceded him in death in 1940.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. George Little of this place and Pvt. Basset
Little serving with the army in Holland; four daughters, Mrs. Vera Bryant and
Mrs. Margaret Horton of Hobart, Mrs. Lee Ora Ware and Miss Helen Little of
Oklahoma City; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
