After meeting, falling in love with and marrying Betty Lorraine Adkins, they resided in Woodbridge, Virginia, on Alton Hotel Court. Betty predeceased him on 6-1-21-14. David developed some health issues and moved to Sitter Barfoot Veterans Care Center in Richmond m Virginia, where he lived out the rest of his life. David died on April 7, 2022, and will be interred with his wife, Betty, with military honors at Quantico National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. He will be placed in Section 25, grave 540.
