Mr. Andress, 75, died April 18, 2022, at Copiah County Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2022, at Sebrell Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm Thursday and 10 am Friday at Sebrell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Mr. Andress was born on March 30, 1947, in Vicksburg, the son of the late Herbert and Geraldine Andress. A veteran, he served his county honorably as a Sergeant in the 3rd Force Reconnaissance Force, USMC in Vietnam. For his service he was awarded the Bronze Star, Presidential Unit Citation and the Vietnam Combat Medal.

Mr. Andress worked as a taxidermist for many years and retired from the City of Vicksburg as a Housing Inspector.

An outdoorsman he loved to hunt and fish. He will be remembered most as beloved husband and cherished father.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Herbert Andress.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Andress of Pattison; son, William Timothy Andress and wife Mary of Brandon; brother, Robert Andress of Utica and sister, Leslie Joe of Oregon.
