Services for Sam Hollinger of Luxora, who died from complications of meningitis on Saturday in a Memphis (Shelby County) hospital after an illness of three weeks, were conducted at the Assembly of God Church at Luxora today by the Rev JC Dickinson, pastor.
His last home was in the Luxora Community and burial was in Sandy Ridge Cemetery with Cobb Funeral Home in charge.
Born in Paris, Tennessee, Mr Hollinger who was 69 had resided at Luxora since 1919. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ozella Hollinger of Luxora; nine sons, Sam, Acie Lee, Harold, Adrian, Robert, WA and Ted all of Luxora, and George Hollinger of StLouis and Glen Hollinger of Kokomo, Indiana; three daughters, Miss Sadie Hollinger, Miss Helen Hollinger and Miss Myrtle Hollinger all of Luxora; and a sister, Mrs Ethel Dorsey of Perryville, Missouri....
