They settled in New Haven, CT and had a baby girl by 1920, Yvonne Emily. She contracted capillary bronchitis and died at 3 months of age. After her death, Bob and Toni returned to London but found it did not offer any opportunities for the young architect. They returned to America in 1924 and settled in Rehoboth, MA
Around 1925 they brought Toni's parents over, Ernest & Marie Kaestner, to live with them. Robert supported his in-laws and Toni's two brothers during the Great Depression.
When they returned to America they settled in Rehoboth, MA. In 1925, the had a son, Robert Anthony. Bob, Sr. died suddenly of a heart attack at age 52, leaving Bob, Jr. to support his mother.

Robert Stanley Dynes, 54, president of the Petroleum Marketers, Inc. of this city, died suddenly yesterday at his home, 2 Lake Drive, West Barrington. He was the husband of Ernestine (Kastner) Dynes.
Born in Kent, England, Jan. 25, 1894, a son of Robert H. And Christina (Hendrie) Dynes, he came to this country 28 years ago and had made his home in West Barrington for the past 16 years. During World War I, he served as captain in the Royal Flying Corps in England for four years. Besides his widow, he leaves a son, Robert A. Dynes of Barrington and six sisters in England.
Funeral services will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Ray O. Page Funeral Home, 260 Elmwood Ave., Providence. The Rev. John T. Lyte, rector of All Saints Memorial Church, Providence, will officiate. Burial will bee in Rehoboth Cemetery, Rehoboth, Mass.
