Thomas was the son of Thomas & Lavantia Randall Hamilton. He married Martha Warner in 1873. They had nine children.

THOMAS HAMILTON OF DURAND DIES

Durand. Feb. 22.—(Special)—Thomas Hamilton, 75 years old, and for a long time a resident of Durand, retired farmer, died early today at 1 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nelson Barningham, after an illness of two days from pneumonia.

Mr. Hamilton was born Nov. 15, 1852, on the Hamilton homestead in Green county, Wis. He farmed near Durand for many years until he retired about 10 years ago.

Surviving are him are five children, Mrs. Marcella Barningham, of Durand, Roscoe Hamilton, of Durand, Mrs. Edna Partch, of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Stella Henchel(sic), of Chicago, and Mrs. Edith Snapp, of Urbana, Ill. He also leaves 11 grandchildren. His wife died 14 years ago.

Funeral services will be held Friday at Durand M. E. church, the Rev. L. E. Winter officiating. Burial will be in Durand cemetery.
