Growing up, Brenda attended school in Fenton, Iowa where she graduated from Sentral High School in Fenton in 1958.
On January 16, 1959, Brenda was united in marriage to Roger Potratz at St. John Lutheran Church in Fenton. Together, they were blessed with five children: Lori, Lisa, Ricky, Lyn and Lee.
Brenda was best known for her longtime employment at Casey's General Store in Storm Lake, Iowa.
In her spare time, Brenda enjoyed playing cards and putting puzzles together with friends and family. Family was very important to Brenda, and she treasured spending time with them, especially at holiday gatherings. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Cecilia Finnestad; infant son: Ricky Potratz; brothers: Bill Finnestad; Mark Finnestad; David Finnestad; and sister: Rosemary Urbick.
