Jerry E. Black, 82, of Claysburg, passed away Friday April 15, 2022 at the home of his daughter. He was born October 17, 1939 in Claysburg, son of the late Chester R. and Margaret S. (Smith) Black. He married Janet M. "Chick" Feathers and she preceded him in death on April 4, 2012.

Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Lower Claar Church of the Brethren.
Jerry retired as a truck driver and was employed by Penn Stress, J.H. Russell, Smith Transport and also worked at Sproul Stone and Lime Company.
He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, animals, farming and spending time with his family.
At the request of the deceased, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment at lower Claar Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to children or animal charities.
