Andrew W. Rauls, 84, formerly of 317 Linden St., died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, where he had been a resident for the past two years.

He was born Aug. 11, 1916, in Fond du Lac, a son of John & Anna Lesser Rauls.

On Aug. 22, 1936, he married Lorena Hintz at St. Peter Lutheran Church. He was formerly employed by Verifine Dairy as a truck driver for 25 years, and was later employed by Moraine Park Technical College until his retirement in 1980.

Mr. Rauls was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Carol Kemnitz of Fond du Lac; three sons, Richard Rauls and his wife Joan of Fond du Lac, Thomas Rauls and his wife Mary of Livingston, Texas, and Paul Rauls of Tucson, Ariz. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Evelyn Walgenbach of Fond du Lac.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant granddaughter; four brothers; and one sister.
Services: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, 12000, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jon Cox officiating. Burial will be at Estabrooks Cemetery.

Visitation: Visitation for Mr. Rauls will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 29000, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services.

The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church.

Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
