Funeral Service For Mrs. I. M. Cook this Afternoon

Mrs. I. M. Cook, 79, passed away at the Home of her daughter, Mrs. Bryan Hearne, on Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock after a long illness. Born in Alto, La.on December 24, 1869, she had lived in the Steep Hollow community practically all her life.

When Mrs. Cook and her late husband, well know farmer, were married, they moved into the home they occupied as long as Mr. Cook lived. When he passed away, Mrs. Cook no longer desired to live there and made her home with her children.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Steep Hollow church with Rev. Milton Maloney officiating. Interment was made in the family burial plot in Steep Hollow cemetery under the direction of Bruce Funeral Home, with six grandsons serving as pallbearers as follows: Charles and Nolen Hensarling, Ted M., Morgan, and W. B. Cook, Jr., and Olan Guy Tobias.

Mrs. Cook is survived by three daughters, Mr. T. A. Hensarling, Stephenville, Mrs. Guy Tobias and Mrs. Bryan Hearne of Bryan and three sons, W. B. Cook, Houston, Jess M. Cook, Detroit, Mich. and Ted Cook of Bryan. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one brother, Ben Duff, of Lubbock.
