Mrs. W. A. Musgraves
Funeral services for Mrs. W.A. Musgraves of this city were held Tuesday afternoon at the Worley Chapel at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. S.E. Dickey. Interment was in the family plot at the Addington cemetery.
Rebecca Melvina Armstong, the daughter of William T. and Jane Armstrong, was born Aug. 24, 1875, in Bonham, Texas, and died July 29, 1946, at her home in Waurika where she and Mr. Musgraves have lived for the past several years, and where she had been in ill health.
Her family left Bonham when she was a young girl and moved to Wade, Indian Territory, where she joined the Free Methodist church at the age of 14.
On October 3, 1900, she was unitedin marriage with W.A. Musgraves, Denison, Texas, and 35 years ago they came to this section of the county to make their home, settling first near Ryan. Since then their home has been in and about Waurika.
Mrs. Musgraves is survived by her husband; a son Ben Blaine, by a former marriage, who lives at San Fernando, Calif.; daughters, Mrs. M.G. Watkins and Mrs, Ben Atkins, Waurika; sons, Ernest Musgraves, Healdton; Bill Musgraves, Borger, Texas; 22 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing. All her sons and daughters were here for the funeral.
