Marvin David Brummett, 83, of Rogers passed away July 4, 2021. He was born August 17, 1937, in Topeka, Kansas the son of Marvin and Evelyn Stilson Brummett. He was better known to his friends and family as David. He grew up in Concordia, Kansas and graduated from Concordia High School with the class of 1955. David received a degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence. Following his education he moved to Hutchinson, Kansas and worked for 10 years at Carey Salt Company. He then began his career at Deluxe Specialties in Hutchinson, Kansas where he eventually became President and CEO of the company. While in Hutchinson, he was a member of the Hutch Bunch flying remote control airplanes and the Jaycees. David retired from Deluxe Specialties in 1997 and moved permanently to Rogers, Arkansas, on Beaver Lake. He was a member of the Northwest Arkansas Boat Club and Bland Chapel United Methodist Church, where was the treasurer for 11 years.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years Linda Brummett of the home, children Eric (Linda) Brummett of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Erin (Kent) Klein of Arlington, Virginia, Barry Brummett (Michele Coleman) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Dana (Mark) Williams of Austin, Texas, his two stepsons Scott (Danie) Borkowski of Iowa Falls, Iowa and Steve (Melinda) Borkowski of Vicenza, Italy, his brother Richard (Pixie) Brummett of St. Louis, Missouri, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and previous wife and mother of his 4 children, Donna Desilet Brummett.

Memorial services will be at a later date at Bland Chapel United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bland Chapel United Methodist Church or to the Donor's Choice.

David was raised in Concordia, Kansas, with his older brother Richard. He was well liked in high school and was an accomplished athlete with the Concordia Jr. Sr. High School football, basketball and track teams. He was elected Senior Class president and graduated with the class of 1955. He later went on to receive a degree from the University of Kansas.

After leaving KU, David moved to Hutchinson, Kansas, where he was employed for the next ten years by Carey Salt Company. He then began a career with Deluxe Specialties in Hutchinson where he eventually became president and CEO of the company from which he retired in 1997.

While living in Hutchinson, David was active with the Jaycees and was a member of Hutch Bunch, a group which built and flew remote control airplanes. Following his retirement, he moved to Rogers Arkansas, near Beaver Lake, where he became a member of the Northwest Arkansas Boat Club and for eleven years also served as treasurer of the Bland Chapel United Methodist Church.

David married Donna Desilet in Concordia, Kansas , on August 17, 1957. They became the parents of four children, Eric, Erin, Barry and Dana. On September 8, 2001, David married Linda Adams of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and became the stepfather of stepsons Scot Borkowski and Steve Borkowski.

David is survived by his wife of twenty years, Linda Brummett of the home, son Eric Brummett and wife Linda of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter Erin Klein and husband Kent of Arlington, Virginia; son Barry Brummett and wife Michele of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter Dana Williams and husband Mark of Austin, Texas; stepson Scot Borkowski and wife Danie of Iowa Falls, Iowa; stepson Steve Borkowski and wife Melinda of Vicenza, Italy and brother Richard Brummett and wife Pixie of St. Louis, Missouri. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Evelyn Brummett and his previous wife and mother of his four children Donna Desilet Brummett.
