Mary Alice "Allie" Dean was the daughter of William Allison (Honaker) Dean and Susanna "Susan" Smeltzer.

Mary married 1st Edward Asbury "Asa" Bennett. They were a young couple in love, and all they wanted to do was go to the Barnum and Bailey Circus as husband and wife. The only thing that prevented them was the court required the signatures of their parents and 75 cents. They were able to rush out in time to secure the signatures, and Judge Berry stamped the marriage certificate, and they were legally married. I will assume they were able to make it to the circus as man and wife.

Children of Mary Alice Dean and Edward Asbury Bennett:
1. Ethel Bennett, m. 1st Theodore Woods, 2nd. Charles Turner
2. Clarence Stanley Bennett, m. Mary Pauline Tonnes
3. Iona Pearl Bennett, m. James I. Hixson

Mary married 2nd Otto Wollney on 23 Nov 1904. Otto told Mary he was going to enlist in the Army during WWI. Mary said if he did, she was going to divorce him. He joined the Army anyway, and she divorced him as promised.

Mary married 3rd, Otto McClure and lived with him until he died in 1923. She then went back to Otto Wollney and continued to be known as Mary Alice Wollney. Although Mary was married three times, she had no children by her second and third husbands.

Mary outlived all her husbands, but she died at 51 years old on 22 July 1927 of colon cancer.
