Born Aug. 4, 1923, in Pittsburg, she was the daughter of John and Irene Hazelgrove Garrison.
She and her husband, Don L. Wheeler, had been married 58 years.
She was educated in Delphi and lived in Rockfield from 1972 until moving to Delphi in 1986. Mrs. Wheeler was a member of Rockfield Presbyterian Church and Rock Creek Township Home Economics Club. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Delphi.
A homemaker, she enjoyed quilting, vegetable and flower gardening, and raising house plants.
Surviving are her husband; one son. John P. Wheeler of Delphi; three daughters, Janet Wheeler of Delphi, Ann Powe of Ruskin, Fla., and Coralee Garrison of Bradenton, Fla.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter.
Services were Saturday at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Gasser officiating. Burial was in IOOF Memorial Gardens.
