Elsie A. Powers Alexander 100, of Boonville IN, passed away Friday, January 4, 2008, at the home of her granddaughter, Valada Whitehouse.
She was of General Baptist Faith.
She was a member of the Boonville Order Of Eastren Star.
FIRST OF ALL was her great love of family. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting, which she shared with her family.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Isaac, in 1986; also a daughter-in-law, Theresa Alexander; grandson, Paul Alexander; and one great-grandchild.

She was the last survived child of Dailey & Clara Powers.

Elsie is surviived by 2 sons; Gerald Alexander; Gilbert and wife Maxie Alexander. and 1 daughter Velma Helms & husband Tom all of Boonville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kala Youngblood & husband David; Arlene Cottrell & husband Bob; Mona Wilson & husband Mike; Valada Whithouse & husband Al;Bobby Alexander & wife JoAnn; Julie Gentry & husband Lewis ,and Roberta Ballow & husband Tim; 16 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great- grandchildren.

Funeral service 2P.M. Monday January 7, 2008 at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call today January 6, from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and Monday from noon to service time at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel.
