Ebbets and Catherine Christianna Arcularius, husband of Emma Ida Van Velsor, whom he married on September 8, 1881, in Woodbury, New York, and father of Benjamin Thomas, Katherine Laurence "Kittie" (married Foster Van Ausdall, married John William MacInnis), John Albert, Edward Russell and Richard Borden Ebbets.

In 1855, Thomas B. Ebetts, aged 5, was living in New York, New York, with his parents, Edward A. Ebetts, aged 33, a merchant, and Catherine Ebetts, aged 31, and siblings, A. Ebetts, aged 9, and George A. Ebetts, aged 12, in the home of his grandmother, Phoebe G. Arcularius, Lady, aged 60, with George P. Arcularius, aged 29, Josephine E. Arcularius, aged 22, Selinie Arcularius, aged 18, and servants Anna Kramer, aged 22, and Margaret Shaw, aged 20.

In 1860, Thomas Ebbetts, aged 10, was living in Stamford, Connecticut, post office Stamford, in the home of his parents, Edward A. Ebbetts, aged 42, a farmer, and Catherine Ebbetts, aged 34, with siblings, George Ebbetts, aged 17, Edward Ebbetts, aged 14, and servant, Ellen McCarly, aged 34.

In 1870, Thomas B. Ebbets, aged 21, a farmer, was living in Huntington, New York, post office Huntington, in the home of his father, Edward A. Ebbets, aged 50, a farmer, and stepmother, Mary J. Ebbets, aged 30, with siblings, Anna G. Ebbets, aged 8, James J. Ebbets, aged 3, and Samuel Ebbets, aged 1 month.

In 1892, Thomas B. Ebbets, aged 43, a laborer, was living in Oyster Bay, New York, with his wife, Emma I. Ebbets, aged 37, and children, Benjamin T. Ebbets, aged 11, Kittie L. Ebbets, aged 9, J. Albert Ebbets, aged 7, E. Russell Ebbets, aged 4, and Richard B. Ebbets, aged 1.

Obituary - Thos. Ebbets, son of Edward A. Ebbets, of this village, died of pneumonia at Oyster Bay on Monday last at 11 o'clock, at the age of forty-four years. He was buried on Thursday in the new Memorial Cemetery at Oyster Bay. He leaves a widow and five children, the eldest thirteen years of age. Mr. Ebbets was born in New York city where he lived until the time of his father's removal to Melville. He was elected constable for that section of the town for several years. He had charge of the large Coles farm at Oyster Bay for three years previous to his death. Mr. Ebbets was well known about our town. We extend our sympathy to the family in their affliction.

Also - The funeral of Thomas Ebbets was attended on Thursday at the Episcopal Church, and the interment was in the Memorial cemetery. Mrs. Ebbets' brother, William Velsor, will take Mr. Ebbets' position on Mr. Cole's farm for the present.
