Aaron Harrison Hummer Jr, 74, beloved father, husband and brother, passed away on April 25, 2014 in Venice, FL.

He was born in Lafayette, IN on June 29, 1939 to the late Emma and Aaron Hummer and was the oldest of seven children.

Aaron was married to Margaret Hummer for 44 years; she preceded him in death. He was the father of eight children. Aaron had 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He moved to Florida in 1997 after being born and raised in Lafayette. Aaron retired from Lafayette Venetian Blind Inc., after managing the Eastern Region for the company after 31 years of service. Aaron was a member of the first graduation class from Southwestern High School in 1957.

Visitation was from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with funeral services held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 2, 2014. Burial followed at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
