Buford B. Hughey, 88, died Sept. 10, 1995 in Fredericktown,MO.
Born Mar. 4, 1901 in Hiram, MO, he was the son of the late John and Nettie Hughey
On Dec. 1, 1945 he was united in marriage to Ethel Grace Sitze and she survives. Also surviving are one brother, Eugene Hughey, Ervington, NY.
Preceding him in death were two brothers Leo and Guy Hughey.
He was an army veteran of WWII. He was a college graduate and taught school for 30 years. He was Wayne County Superintendent of Schools before retiring.
He was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist
Church.
The funeral was Sept. 13, 1995 at 2pm in the Ruegg Funeral Home at Greenville, Mo. Rev. Bill Sargent officiated. Music was recorded solos.
Pallbearers were Emmett Shoffner, Guy Stevenson, Brent Hughey, Hartland Alexander, Virgil Clubb, Bill Hughey. Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Hiram, MO.
