Howard Lester Tollett, who resided near Rudy, Arkansas, formerly of Wilton, Arkansas, located in Little River County, died Friday, April 8, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on November 6, 1925, in DeQueen, Arkansas, to the late Luke and Lille (Uper) Tollett. He was 96 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Shirley (Stipe) Tollett; and two sons, Gary Tollett and Duanne Tollett.

Howard retired from Braswell Sand & Gravel Company in Wilton. He was very patriotic and proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Howard was a strong believer and a faithful Christian. For many years, he was a faithful member and never missed a church service at Wilton First Baptist Church. While living the last few months of his life, he attended 88 Freewill Baptist Church in Rudy.

He is survived by a son, Mark Tollett and wife Pam of Rudy; three grandchildren, Jonathan Roberts, Amanda Magana, and Moriah Tollett.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Cremation Services in Fort Smith.
