Rev. Ronald Lee York, 74, of Rockford, IL, passed away April 10, 2022. He was born on July 15, 1947 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He grew up in the Rockford area and graduated from Guilford High School. He went on to continue his education and dedication to the Lord at Indiana Bible College. Throughout his life Ronald devoted his time to being a pastor of numerous churches. He was a pastor of Streator IL's Pentecostal church, a founding pastor of Catonsville MD's Pentecostal Church, as well as a founding pastor of Firstborn Ministries in Machesney Park IL. On June 26, 1971 he married the love of his life, Harriette. Together they shared one son and 50 years in marriage. Ronald selflessly served his country in the Vietnam War in the Marine Corps between the years of 1967 and 1969. He was an avid reader, and loved spending his time in Bible study and history. He will be remembered for his devotion to the church, his country, and his family, and above all his love and work for the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife; Harriette York, their son; David (Kimberly) York, sister; Robin (Wendell) Maynard, grandchildren; Mason and Hailey, as well as numerous extended family members and friends whom he loved dearly. He is welcomed into heaven by his parents; Howard and Ladene Raney
