For long years, Mr. Johnson taught vocational agriculture at Boley. He did his B. S. at Alcorn A & M College in Alcorn, Mississippi. He was later head of the department at Dunbar High School in Arcadia Oklahoma. Later still, he was the black agricultural extension agent for Okfuskee Co. His youngest daughter Odell Johnson Gamble was a successful teacher at Chandler's Douglass School before that school was closed down by desegregation. His wife was Florida Johnson, who was also a teacher at Boley. Florida and Clarence had two other children, Cleo and Winfred.
