Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, April 8, 2022, Mr. Marvin Brumberg, 85, loving husband of 62 years to Elsa L. Brumberg.

Marvin was born in Orlando, FL, but was a long time resident of Augusta and was a member of Fleming Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and his church. He served in the church for many years as a Sunday school teacher, a deacon, and in many other areas of the church where he was needed.

He retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service in the United States Army and was a bronze star recipient serving in Korea and Vietnam. He also retired as a training instructor in civil service after 20 years at Fort Gordon. Marvin loved his family and his favorite title was "Papa".

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughters: Cindy Underwood (Eric) and Terry Dixon (Jim); grandchildren: Evan Underwood (Caroline), Cayla Hildreth (Matthew), Taylor Dixon, Erin Conner (Aaron), Jacob Dixon (Whitney), and Connor Dunmire (Gabe); and great grandchildren: Sawyer John Conner, Walker Lee Conner, Elsa Rose Conner, and Parker Lynne Dixon.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Fleming Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick Latta officiating. Interment followed in Westover Memorial Park.
