Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Zion Lutheran Church for Herbert Ahrendt, 76, of 321 N. Prairie Ave., who died Thursday at a local hospital.
Mr. Ahrendt was born July 26, 1895, at Milwaukee, Wis. He was married to Minnie Rehmsteadt on Oct. 3, 1917, at Parker. The couple moved to Sioux Falls in 1943. Mr. Ahrendt retired from work at the John Morrell & Co. plant in 1961.
Survivors include the widow, a son, Walter, Hartford; two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Matthies, Hartford, and Mrs. Keith Weegar, Leadville, Colo.; a brother, Fred, Trimont, Minn.; 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Interment will be at the Rosehill Cemetery in Parker.
