Our brave and noble friends,
To you friend-you have been true,
But now your troubles are ended
And you have bid this world adieu,
You have been a noble friend,
Once so trusted, true and brave;
But now you cold body and lifeless body
lies silent in the grave,
True your body is here with us, in
this wicked, dismal land;
But your spirit has crossed the
"River."
