Doris Fricke Hinman was the sixth of nine children born to EJ & Clara Fricke.
After graduating high school, she attended Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Doris went on to fly internationally as a "hostess" for TWA and that time in her life was very special to her. So much so, she still had her uniforms & pins.
It was while working a flight to New York that she met Howard, a passenger who would become her future husband. Once in New York, they had their first date.
The new romance was interrupted when Howard, a World War ll Army Air Corps Sergeant, became a POW in Germany. Once released, Howard looked for that petite girl he met on a plane; they had a couple more dates and were married in June 1948. They went on to have five kids and then became grandparents. After Howard's passing she became a great grandmother.
Doris is survived by her five children; Linda Hinman Thies (Steve), William Hinman, Burt Hinman, James Hinman (Cindy) and Mary Lee Hinman. Five Grandchildren; Brooke Stokes, Carey Moe, Josh Hinman, Kate Hinman and Michael Hinman; several great grandchildren; brother, Larry Fricke; sister, Pat Hull and numerous nieces & nephews.
She lived a full and happy life and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
