Funeral services fro Asa G. White, 76, formerly of LaFayette, were held at 1 o'clock this afternoon at Cummerford-Endsley Memorial Home in Peoria. Death occurred suddenly at 10:30 Sunday morning at his home at 2610 Main street in Peoria.
Services were in charge of Rev. William C. Jones, pastor of Hale Memorial Methodist church. He was assisted by Rev. Fred D. Menze, former LaFayette pastor.
Burial was in the family lot in Princeville cemetery.
Before retiring and moving to Peoria 14 years ago, Mr. White had farmed for many years in the LaFayette and Galva communities. After moving to Peoria he had frequently visited here when he visited his farm near La Fayette.
He was an active member of Hale Memorial Methodist church.
Born at LaFayette April 13, 1874, he was a son of John and Mary Anderson White.
He attended LaFayette schools.
He was married three times first in his youth to Katie Kay, of LaFayette; later to Bess Gerard.
He was married February 27, 1937, to Bertha Simpson and after their marriage they had made their home in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife, one brother, George White of Helena, Arkansas.
Eleven brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
