Evert E Crawford was born in Jacksonville, Texas on December 21st, 1941, to parents S E McWilliams Crawford and Evert Terry Crawford. Evert grew up in Timpson, Texas, with his parents and older sister Ada Mac Crawford. Evert had a passion for airplanes and for flying. He began flying his father's planes at the young age of 13 and eventually taught flight lessons on his own. During his teenage years, Evert also participated in football, was a member of the FFA, and graduated from Timpson High School in 1959. Evert attended college for a year at Southern Methodist University and then graduated with a bachelor's degree in Economics from Stephen F. Austin University.
Evert was married and started a family after this time, and he developed a love for cameras and photography. He attended the University of Houston and achieved his Master's in Business Administration and taught marketing there. Later, he became the director of the Institute for Regional Forecasting at the Bauer College of Business where he was a driving force behind the biannual economic symposiums. Mr. Crawford fulfilled his dream of starting his own business and was a quantitative analyst with his own consulting company, Crawford Realty Advisors, Inc. He is preceded in death by parents.
