In 1915 he came to Roger Mills County and was united in marriage to Blanche Wallace on May 16, 1917. They established a home 4 miles east of Durham where he resided since, except for 3 years when he lived in Cheyenne.
"Doc" was baptised into the Durham Baptist church in 1939 and had been an active member since that time. He was a well known wheat farmer and cattle man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and fourteen half brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of the home; three sisters who are Mrs. B.F. Wells, Oklahoma City, Mrs. W.L.
