Services Held For W.S. Billingsley

FAIRFIELD – Walter S. Billingsley, 81, retired Jefferson county farmer, died today at 12:30 a.m. at his home at 309 E. Broadway. He had been in failing health for four years.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Glasgow Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Carol Newquist. Burial was in Glasgow cemetery
Billingsley spent all of his life in the area until moving to Fairfield two years ago. He was born Jan. 19, 1878, at Glasgow, the son of Samuel and Mary Hulse Billingsley. He was married to Belle B. Bower March 21, 1906.
Eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; Eliza Billingsley and Hulse Billingsley, both of Glasgow, Mont.; Mrs. George Heller, Altoona; Mrs. Columbus Hayes, Mt Pleasant; Sam Billingsley, Lockridge; and Mrs. Leonard Monfort, Lockridge.
Three brothers are deceased.
