Ruth B. (Baker) Speece, 90, of Anderson, died Jan. 5, 2008, at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born May 6, 1917, in Wabash, and lived in Anderson for most of her life.
Ruth retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors.
She was a member of Colonial United Methodist Church in Anderson.
Survivors include her son, Joe and wife, Betty Speece of Muncie; grandchildren, Ryan J. Speece and Nicole Laiho; step-grandchildren, Becky Thomas and Beth Connor; and a niece, Karen Beachboard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married July 27, 1940, Joseph Speece on May 8, 2006; her daughter, Ruth Ann Connor, and her parents, Arthur and Mary (Snider) Baker.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., with the Rev. Jerry Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the South Chapel.
