J. DICE BOLDING'S RITES TO BE TODAY
LIBERTY, SC - January 24 - Funeral services for J. Dice Bolding, carpenter, who died at his home at 3:25 a.m. today after an illness of four months, will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Six Mile Baptist Church.
Rev. H. W. Ayers, Rev. F. M. Julian, Rev. Walter Power, Rev. F. S. Childress and Rev. Robert S. Wheeler will officiate. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
The following grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Thomas Holliday, Jesse Hampton Holliday, Edward Watson, Herman Pilgrim, Wayne Pilgrim and Marvin Pilgrim.
The following will meet at the church at 3:20 o'clock to serve as the escort of honor: C. L. Roper, Paul Holden, Tom James, John James, Bill Vaughn, Floyd Hunt, Carlisle Lewis, Paul Whitlock, Oscar Fowler, Fred Dowis, J. D. Mattin, Ben Chapman, James Moore, Bob Townsend, L. G. Duckworth, Willie Gillespie, L. P. Prince, Frank Parrott, J. L. Pace, E. H. Rogers, Johnny Sullivan, Coy Griffin, Jesse D. Gillespie, H. E. Revis, Dr. J. W. Kitchen, Dr. P. E. Swords, and deacons of Six Mile Baptist Church.
Mr. Bolding was a life-long resident of Pickens County. He was the son of the late Markey and Kate Garrett Bolding. He wa a member of Six Mile Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Della Chapman Bolding; five daughters, Mrs. Vera Holliday, Mrs. Clarence Watson, Mrs. Paul Pilgrim, Mrs. Wade Watson and Mrs. J. D. Pace; four sons, Harvey Bolding, William Bolding, Colie Bolding and Harlan Bolding; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Pilgrim and Mrs. Doyle Parter; four brothers, R. M. Bolding, and M. F. Bolding of Pickens, J. H. Bolding of Liberty and A. N. Bolding of Norris; and 24 grandchildren.
The body is at the home of a son, Harvey Bolding.
