Graveside rites for Thomas Franklin Boss, 78, Loco, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Crow Cemetery, Love County, with the Rev. Charles Denney officiating.

Born April 23, 1921, at Orr to James M. and Emma D. Whitener Boss, he died Aug. 14, 1999, at Ringling. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Boss, Aug. 9, 1998; one granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter. Reared at Orr, Boss attended Orr schools.

He married Ada Lee Redmon on Sept. 22, 1951, at Gainesville, Texas. Boss farmed and lived in Carter, Love and Jefferson counties. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; five daughters, Jeannie Bair, Muskogee, Mary Davis, Fox, and Gracie Myers, Dorothy Lee and Carolyn Boatwright, all Kingston; three sons, T.J., Healdton, and James and Darrel, both Wyoming; two stepsons, Marion Baker, Orr, and Jack Eakins, Ringling; 30 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Bearers are John Eakins, Thomas Boss Jr., Thomas Boss III, Leonard Boss, Billy Mac Davis and Matt Allison.

Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
