"Mrs. Gloria M. Brown Noel, 57, of 5601 Woodson Road, Raytown, died Sunday at the Independence Sanitarium and Hospital. She was born in Manhattan, Kan., and had lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Noel was a bookkeeper for Miller Lighting and earlier had worked for Stowell Electric Co., Inc. She was a member of St Matthew's Episcopal Church. She leaves her husband, William F. Noel of the home; two sons, Don Brown of Gladstone and Thomas Brown of New York; a stepson, Wesley Noel of Houston; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Kathleen Helms of Independence and Mrs. Barbara Dallinger of Raytown; her father, Donald Abington of Lee's Summit; four brothers, Roger Abington of St Louis, Carter Abington of Kansas City and Stanley Abington and Richard Abington of Rock Springs, Wyo.; two sisters, Mrs. Jewell Thompson of Lee's Summit and Mrs. Mary Lou Stilwell of Lexington, Mo.; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church; burial in White Chapel Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, September 7, 1982
