Esther E. Epperson, 99, of Butler, Mo., passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2008, at her home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Underwood-Brandtonies Funeral Home of Butler. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the Underwood-Brandtonies Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will follow the service in the Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to either the Heartland Hospice of the First Christian Church of Butler. Esther is survived by her two daughters, Mary Mae Lewis (Bob), Butler, and Billie Dines (Marvin), Butler; one son, Fred Epperson (Joan), Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Adred Ricketts, Rolla, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Nellie Epperson, Mission, Kan., and Jessie Carpenter, Appleton City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; and five great-great- grandchildren.
