Elsie Bonner Hutcherson, age 96, of Manchester passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the Warm Springs Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Manchester with Pastor Scotty Fowler and Pastor Deon Adamson officiating.

Interment will follow in Meriwether Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 pm, prior to the service.

Ms. Hutcherson was born October 14, 1925 in Shiloh, the daughter of Charles Bonner and Rachel Elizabeth Anderson Bonner. She retired from International Playtex after 30 years and was a devoted member of Northside Baptist Church.

She enjoyed working in her yard and keeping her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She kept a journal for most of her adult life and would read the entire composition each year. She shared a copy of it with her children near the end of her life and in it, she reflected on the good things in her life as well as the bad.

Maw Maw, as she was known to her family and closest friends, loved her family and her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, William Howard Hutcherson; her brothers, Charles and Clinton Bonner; her sisters, Marie Castleberry and Mattilou Emmitt and her grandson, Damon Bishop.

Survivors include her children; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
