TISHOMINGO -- Services for Ladye Leona Deaton, 92, Madill, will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Perry Crisp officiating. Interment will follow at Tishomingo City Cemetery.

Born Jan. 20, 1907, at Milburn, Indian Territory, to J.W. and Lola Mae Haley Earhart, she died April 19, 1999, at Madill. She married John Deaton in 1924 at Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Lou Deaton.

Mrs. Deaton graduated from Milburn High School. She had been the owner-operator of a Tishomingo locker plant and grocery store, moving to Madill 12 years ago. Mrs. Deaton was a member of the First Baptist Church and had served as church secretary for 20 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Estes, Ardmore; one brother, Kenneth Earhart, Midlothian, Texas; three sisters, Anita Ritchey, Ardmore, Mahota Fruits, Wichita, Kan. and Frances Herzer, Houston; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Corbin Funeral Home.
