Mr. Brown was born at Timbo, Arkansas, and on December 6, 1886 was united in marriage to Alice Franks. To this union were born 12 children, 11 still living.
Mr. Brown moved to Roff in 1947 and during the two years had made a host of friends.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Brown of Roff, six daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Thelford of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Nora T. Marrs of Roff; Mrs. Gracie Troutman of Metropolis, Illinois; Mrs. Jettie Nichols of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Mrs. Vada Tucker of Konawa, Oklahoma; Mrs. Nellie Tucker, also of Konawa, and five sons, Donald Brown of Sulphur, Oklahoma; Marion Brown of Modesto, California; Lank [Abraham Lincoln] Brown of Clovis, New Mexico; Joe Brown of Modesto, California; and Thurman Brown also of Modesto, California; forty-six grand children and thirty-three great grand children.
