Graveside service for Carol Jeanne Treadwell, 87, Snyder, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022, in Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, with Pastor Matt Hester, of Snyder United Methodist Church, Snyder, Oklahoma officiating.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder.
The world lost a beloved grandmother and mother, Carol Jeanne Treadwell, on March 22, 2022, in Snyder. She was born March 14, 1935, in Snyder to J.B. "Buster" and Marie Willis. She went to high school in Snyder and graduated in 1953. She married Jerry Treadwell on August 30, 1953, in Snyder. She attended Oklahoma State University and graduated with a teaching degree. She and Jerry returned to Snyder, where they were successful with farming and ranching. She worked as a first-grade teacher for Snyder Public Schools for 34 ½ years. Her colleagues knew her as a kind soul, and she welcomed all new teachers to the district. She loved looking through elegant magazines for clothing and home décor, traveling, collecting items that were precious to her and spending time with her family and beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who referred to her as Memaw.
Carol Jeanne is survived by her son Dr. Greg and wife Sheila Treadwell; four grandchildren: Dr. Nick and wife Sara Treadwell, Daniel and wife Cody Treadwell, Lauren Treadwell and MSGT Matthew and wife Rebecca Treadwell; and eleven great-grandchildren: Cadence, Cheyenne, Hailey, Raeden, Turner, Lilly, Joshua, Henry, Logan, Aiden and Emily.
She was preceded in death by her parents: J. B. "Buster" and Marie Willis; a brother: Roger Willis; her husband: Jerry Treadwell; and a son: Brad Treadwell.
