Wilson Larry Sharp, 83, of Hanover Park, Illinois died on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at his residence in Hanover Park, Illinois.

Born Monday, May 16, 1938 in Ridgely, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William Leslie Sharp and the late Eva Pearl Hickerson Sharp. He was the retired owner of Sharp Fence Installers. Mr. Sharp was a member of Villa Avenue Church of Christ where he served as song leader for most of his adult life. In his spare time he loved to watch cowboy tv shows.

Funeral services for Mr. Sharp will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in the Chapel of the Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating the service will be Mr. Roy Sharp and Mr. Billy Sharp. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, Tennessee.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of sixty years, Linda Jean Dial Sharp of Hanover Park, Illinois; four daughters, Tamara Giovenco of Hanover Park, Illinois, Tracy Lorence of Poplar Grove, Illinois, Missy Platter of Poplar Grove, Illinois and Amy Johnson: four brothers, Leslie Sharp, Billy Sharp, Gary Sharp and Roy Sharp; two sisters, Elizabeth King and Sharon Echols and he was "Papa" to his eighteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, William Eunice Sharp and one sister, Ruth Tacker.

Honoring Mr. Sharp as pallbearers will be David Lorence, Kennith C. Platter, Rudy Klosterman, Jeff King, Ricky Echols and Missy Platter.
