Jane, daughter of John and Margarett (Hayes) Shepherd, made her home with her nephew, J.L. Shepard in Milan. Miss Shepherd past 80 yrs of age, spent most of her life on a farm near the old Fields Mill in Duncan Twp., Sullivan Co. MO. She was a sister of Mrs. Susan Oliver and William Shepard of Reger. Burial in family cemetery near her home. (The Browning Leader-Record, issue April 1916, Browning MO.)
