Shirley Mae West, age 84, of Horse Cave, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022 at TJ Samson Community Hospital. She was a native of Horse Cave and a member of Northtown United Baptist Church. She was saved during a revival at Northtown United Baptist Church held by Bro. Gordon Campbell and Bro. Walter Lay. She loved attending church and revivals and praying for the lost. Shirley was family oriented and loved spending time with her family. She loved her flowers, decorating, feeding the birds, cooking for her family, and quilting.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. West; a son, Edward A. "Buck" West; her parents, Amos and Lela Forrest Bush; two sisters, Virginia "Teany" Butler and Dorothy E. Locke.

She is survived by four children, Debi Lane, Belinda Crain, Steve Crain (Patty) all of Horse Cave and Rick Crain (Susan), of Palm Springs, CA; grandchildren, Teresa Lane Cross (Erik) of La Quinta, CA, Amanda Lane Moore of Temecula, CA, Heather Crain Hack, of Magnolia, KY, Shae Crain of Horse Cave, Taylor West (Katelyn), of Owensboro, Havyn West, of Livingston, MT, Carter West of Bowling Green, Alicia and Taja Sims of Palm Springs, CA; 18 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Carl A. Bush (Jean) of Lawrenceburg; and many close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Northtown United Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Winn Funeral Home from 10 AM-8PM and on Tuesday from 9AM until time of service at Northtown United Baptist Church.
