Mr. Mixon was born January 21, 1941, in Moncks Corner, SC, a son of Keith L. Mixon and Eloise Ward Mixon. He was a graduate of Macedonia High School where he drove a school bus and played quarterback on the football team. In his earlier years, he worked for both Pepsi-Cola and Avco prior to beginning his career at Santee Cooper. Mr. Mixon enjoyed traveling and would spend time with his wife in Myrtle Beach every year, and he loved waterskiing and shagging, especially at the Bonneau Beach Pavilion. He was the widower of Rose Ann Trexler Mixon.
