Mrs. Mabelle L. Tice

Middletown - Mrs. Mabelle Lowe Tice, 85, a former resident of Gilbertsville and New Berlin, died Tuesday, January 19, at the Ramapo Manor Nursing Center, Suffern, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 22, at Middletown.

Burial will be later in Cincinatus.

Mrs. Tice was born in New Berlin on January 30, 1885, a daughter of Charles and Lorette(Matteson) Lowe. She was married to Howard Tice who died many years ago.

Mrs. Tice had been active in the Episcopal Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was a retired employee of the Veteran's Administration, Washington, D.C.

In Oneonta, she was known chiefly as a sister of the late Mrs. Marvin M. Hatcher, Sr, 20 East Street, whom she often visited.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Richard Pinckney, Middletown, and Mrs. Fred Weigel Sr., West Palm Beach Fla; five grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews among whom are Mrs. Arthur E.Seybolt, 26 Maple St. Mrs George W. Cuyler, 54 Union St. and Marvin M. Hatcher Jr, 20 East Street and Robert L. Hatcher, Farmingdale.
